Nice artwork for latest Aurora

Have been playing around with the new Aurora. Just want to compliment whoever did the latest artwork of the two adorable coneheads (megaphones?) by the campfire and night sky. Love the aesthetic. Nicely done! :+1: :+1:

Thank you! :purple_heart: I’m actually the person who made the new wallpaper. It makes me really happy that its being recieved positively so far. Also for sake of clarity the characters are intended to be telescope people. I took inspiration from telescope imagery used in the previous Aurora wallpapers. The character seen on the right is a boy named Scope, and he should be the new mascot of Aurora going forward.

I thought it would nice for Aurora to have its own family friendly mascot in a similar vain to what KDE has with Konqi. And the rest of the Aurora maintainers agreed on the idea. Hopefully you’ll get to see more of him soon.

I don’t take donations directly. I’m being compensated for my aurora work from some of the aurora maintainers. Otherwise I’m always open to taking more commissions, the best ways to contact me are on my Discord, X, or Bluesky accounts. I have my discord account connected on my discourse account.

We’re really bringing in the talent lately! Chandeleer has worked on putting the dinosaurs in the new Bluefin store, bazaar! I am happy to announce that he is now also “Art Director and Telescope Connoisseur” for Bluefin!

Also, if someone in the future makes a custom image of Aurora, please hire Chandeleer to make coneheads for you – this is a shared world I would love to see explored lol.
