Running latest version of Bazzite on a Legion Go and Rog Ally.
All Games installed via Lutris work fine in desktop mode.
However if I add the shortcut to steam for use in gamescope/ steam, mode, the controller does not work at all.
I have looked around reddit and bazzite forums and saw similar posts with hit & trial resolution methods such as changing the runner…
but nothing that seems to get to the root cause and address the problem .
ANy pointers for a RCA would be really appreciated
This is probably due to “Steam Virtual Controller” being active in gamescope mode. Your built in controller is replaced with “Steam Virtual Controller” so you have to rebind your controller buttons in the game. You can possibly also disable “Steam Virtual Controller” for that particular game.
For now, check if your game sees “Steam Virtual Controller” or the built in controller once you run it from the gamescope session.
Make sure you’re using Proton as your runtime in Lutris. This is possible thanks to UMU Launcher
