Is discord a more active place? Im not getting anywhere here.
Maybe questions you ask are not specific to Blufin and are better to be asked on upstream project’s forums.
Maybe you are also not explaining enough.
Basic questions to answer when asking for a help.
- What would you like to accomplish?
- What did you actually do (commands executed etc)
- What is the error message?
- What do you expect to get instead?
- A lot of times it makes sense to also write “why” are you doing something, specially if it is unusual.
- Write info about your system (hardware, which spin do you use,…)
- Never assume someone can read your mind. Explain but only to the minimal point required (not too short, but also not long stories).
- If your post has too few info, many will just ignore it and move on to next forum question. Help us, to help you.
Bad example: “I installed program X and it fails.” Also this one is in from the same category.
“Adding widgets to plasma crashes it every time.”
Is straight forward and descriptive enough in my opinion.
As you saw from my other posts I do give a brief explanation
of what im trying to do and paste any errors.
I see this place is active in its own way, just a little frustrated
I cant get waydroid and printing working as these are important.
Bazzite is supposed to be already setup with next to no maintenance.
I still love it and will stick thru these problems, just bummed out a little.
Thanks.
Discord is the most active between all the Universal Blue social communication channels.
Not really, there is no other info on that post. no logs, no info on hardware, nothing.
But anyways, the discord community is very active and helpfull, providing that people provide enough info on the issue.
LOL we are all using the same base image.
GOD Im just trying to add a kde widget really? LOL
Thanks for the info I have it on my discord, ill be sure to keep up thanks.
The images differ, be it Aurora or bluefin and Bazzite is even more “different”.
You are posting on a General forum, without any info what you are running (I guess Bazzite).
But again, without any info, logs or anything, there is not much people can even try to dig throug. Can only tell that “yeah i can add kde widgets to my desktop”
Dont give up on me ok?
It’s not uBlue; it’s KDE. I’m on 6.2.4 (NixOS, in my case), and the widgets are completely messed up.
I recommend you let the KDE crew know in their bug tracker: https://bugs.kde.org.
