Installing tarball - radio tray application

Hi,
I only installed something from source once, just following a step by step guide (copying lines to the terminal).
I will use as much as possible only Flatpak applications. I didn’t found a system tray radio, I used this one before: Radio Tray download | SourceForge.net

Is it difficult of unwise to install this?

If you’re on Gnome you can use SomaFM extension. I use it and it works very well. You can also edit the config to add your own stations.
