Include or approve KOrganizer and/or Merkuro for KDE Plasma

As the built in time/date widget supports displaying events and fetching holidays, an obvious function of it should also be to add new events and reminders, right? However, this is not possible. It relies on either KOrganizer or Merkuro for this functionality. From my understanding, they should be made available as flatpacks or have one of them included with the KDE-Plasma version of Bazzite.

Unless I’m missing something obvious like a ujust script that will install one of these for me (in which case please enlighten me!)

I don’t think either is available as flatpak

Does having an appstream link and being on the Discover app not necessarily mean it comes in a flatpak? Both KOrganizer and Merkuro have links to Discover.
(side note, it seems like the appstream links aren’t working with Bazaar)

Kontact does appear on Bazaar on the latest Bazzite KDE-plasma, which does seem to contain KOrganizer, however this version of it doesn’t look like it integrates with the time/date widget, in fact it wouldn’t let me make any events at all. Probably user error, but it was asking for a calendar collection and I couldn’t find any interface on how to make one.

After further discussing the topic on the KDE forum, I found out that this functionality is enabled by installing kdepim-addons, which looks like it hooks KOrganizer/Merkuro into the widget.

Link to that thread for some more info

Update for anyone following this thread: A KDE dev has confirmed this is false.

However they do confirm that the widget automatically gains the desired functionality

If one of these can be bundled with Bazzite or made available on the Bazaar, that would be very good for QOL as a simple calendar is a very nice thing to have built-in
