There are no issues to report. I do not have a problem that needs solving. I’m not seeking new features.
I’m using Aurora on my personal laptop daily and it’s great. All the flexibility I want with some “do it for me” elements to make things straightforward. I work in IT day-to-day so am always seeking that perfect balance so that it’s not “work” when I just want to mess around, but I can do what I want.
Love this appreciation post. I’ve been on Aurora on my personal use laptop since June 29, so six months to the day. Zero issues. I occasionally run a “classic” distro in a VM and I’m reminded how much time I spent maintaining things instead of just using the thing.
I’m also using it on a work laptop, an Thinkpad from a few years ago. I’m not a dev but I use the DX image for the extra container apps and the nice VM setup. It’s excellent, and since it’s super low maintenance I’m going to install it on another old Thinkpad to give my mother (who is old and not good with tech).
