How to create a Surface image in 2026?

Please clarify whether it’s possible to build a current ublue image with the linux-surface · GitHub kernel, thanks.

I’m currently using the Asus latest image from 10-19-2025. How do I go about changing to a different image or is it recommend to just do a clean re-install?
