Having ALOT of issues. Please check your downloads, and ISO’s. This isn’t my SSD. Nor is it my USB drive. I spent the entire day today troubleshooting. Bazzite wont install, Aurora wouldn’t install. Nor would aurora fully download from the Aurora website. I’ve tried over 3 different ISO’s, fresh downloaded, tried known working USB’s, a separate and known working SSD, then i get this error “source image not readable”. I JUST downloaded that image, fresh. I’ve never had these issues before. I also tried a new motherboard, because my old one the msi secure erase wasnt working. The drive has been cleared. Formatted. Overwritten with zeroes. I’ve tried alot.
No issues here with Aurora or Bazzite ISO downloads.
Also the ISOs are offline installers, you don’t need internet connection for the installer to work.
Have you downloaded one in the past few hours?
I’m wondering if it’s to do with this nonsensehttps://youtu.be/YWd_2n1DCws?si=D4zmutVigSQFBqQ9
No that has nothing to do with it
New motherboard. New ssd. Switched nvme slots. Switched ram slots. Turned off memory OC, running at stock ram speed. And this is the error i’m STILL getting. Nobara actually installed and was usable. But i want bazzite unfortunately
I used balena etcher this time. Before i used fedora media writer. No change
Or, it’s the repos the installer pulls from when installing to the drive. Seems like something along those lines
As i said, it doesnt pull on any repos during install. The installer is fully offline, doesnt matter if its Bazzite or Aurora both are the same.
What is this error i’m getting relating to then? It sure looks relating to the bazzite installer to me. I’m no expert, also
It must have a meaning, and a solution. This error is a parasite so far
The error is showing a checksum fail/mismatch…meaning that what was downloaded is not what should be on the server. You should check your network and make sure everything else is ok (all physical connections secure, stable internet connection, most recent firmware, no malware, no man in the middle attacks, etc…)If you used wifi to download the iso on your phone (not cellular) then that could point to a network issue that needs to be diagnosed.
