From NVIDIA to AMD

I’m surprising my husband with a new AMD GPU. I’m curious to know, how difficult is it to switch/rebase his Bazzite NVIDIA setup to AMD? He has a separate home SSD, would it be easier to just perform a fresh install?

Thanks. I understand that this can disable NVIDIA, will it be enough? The AMD drivers are part of the kernel, so they would be used after this, am I correct?

you can just rebase to the non-nvidia image. just make sure you rebase to the same DE you are using currently (so not from gnome to KDE)
