I am having trouble loading the ec_sys module and enabling write support. The final goal is to provide fan support for a MSI GL65 9SE laptop via McontrolCenter and msi_ec.`
I have tried rpm-ostree kargs --append-if-missing="ec_sys.write_support=1"
and followed examples from these docs. Both the initramfs and dracut. No luck so far when I check modules via lsmod | grep ec_sys
Just an update the bazzite: testing can be rebased for ec_sys module. Please give it a try!
hi all, sorry to resurrect this,
i’m having the same problem but for me it started when i upgraded to bazzite 43. i’ve tried the kargs solution without success
the weird thing is that the ec_sys module was working pefectly in bazzite 42!
any help or similar experiences greatly appreciated
i absolutely love bazzite and just have it pinned to 42 for the time being
ps. i’m using the gnome/nvidia desktop image
