Hello everyone.
I installed Bazzite two months ago and I’m using it slowly because it’s my first Linux experience, but I really like it.
I’m using it in a dual boot configuration with Windows 11 on two hard drives, each with its own operating system.
Up until a BIOS update crashed the multi-boot system.
In short, when I change the boot order in the BIOS, Windows starts up, and I get the dual boot back, but Bazzite gives me a startup error.
How can I get Bazzite to restart? Do I need to reinstall it?
Thanks in advance for your help and this long message.
(Google translation, sorry, i don’t speak english)
Try disabling secureboot and see if that fixes it.
This is an older video and it’s not quite your problem, but the symptoms sound a bit similar. So, it might be worth a try:
In a nutshell, run the Bazzite Live ISO and then its Bazzite Bootloader Restoring Tool.
Good evening.
Thank you so much for your help.
NextGen3D's solution worked perfectly and everything is working wonderfully again.
Thanks again and it was a pleasure.
I generally disable TPM and Secureboot when using Linux, as it eliminates another point of failure, I also don’t like this technologies, but this is a personal opinion, there is ways of making them work, but it all feels a little hacky to me, so I prefer them disabled, but the Bios defaults will enable them both, and this can cause boot issues.
