CRTL/V virtually getting stuck

Hello,

For the past 3 days, I’ve been having a problem with the CTRL key (virtually) getting stuck, or with the V key—usually both at the same time. I thought it was due to the update, so I rolled back to a September version, but even though it seemed to go away, it came back when the PC woke up from sleep mode. When I woke it up, no programs or games were open. The problem is that I can no longer type anything useful into the console because every command is immediately interrupted by, for example, the “v” key.

Sometimes unplugging and replugging the keyboard helps, but most of the time, the only solution is to restart the PC. Pressing keys like CTRL and Alt doesn’t do anything.

I’ve tried everything I could find related to this, and I’ve also used both a Logitech and a Skillerpro keyboard. (Connecting the second one caused the error immediately.) I just turned off the on-screen keyboard; I don’t know yet if that will help.

As a side note, the error seems to occur right away with the Linux versions of games, but it also happens eventually with Proton. Regarding the hardware

Operating System: Bazzite 44

KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.5

KDE Frameworks Version: 6.30.0

Qt Version: 6.11.2

Kernel Version: 7.2.7-ogc1.1.fc44.x86_64 (64-bit)

Graphics Platform: Wayland

Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor

Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.5 GiB usable)

Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT

Graphics Processor 2: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor

Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks!

Update: After disabling key repeat and the virtual keyboard, and using the latest version of Bazzite:

Suddenly, the “c” and “v” keys can no longer be pressed; they don’t respond. The command kwin_wayland --replace resets it, but it also closes everything else. This error occurs very frequently.
