Crontab and crontab

In my mind, cronie (crontab support) should be part of a standard kde/gnome/whatever system installation.

I know it is not normally provided, but I always want to make sure it is installed.
I use it to do ssd and nvme trims and system updates and of course, scheduling activities such as backups, and other activities.

Crontab, for me, is in the same category as sudo. If a distro provides good sudo support, cronie should be installed as well.

I don’t need cron as I use systemd timer for my own stuff.

yes, systemd timers is the way to go nowadays

If you are not familiar with systemd timer just tell. I can provide you some tips.
