COSMIC Alpha 3?

Is there an image to rebase to COSMIC Alpha 3 & Fedora 41?

Only Fedora 40 for now it seems (don’t know about the COSMIC version either)

There is a secureblue image that is “Experimental” but it worked fine when I tried it a month ago.

Cosmic from Secureblue

There were actually secureblue Aurora and Bluefin images as well, but they seem to have been discontinued.

The way I installed it was I was trying Aurora and just rebased to it.

So no updated ISO images. The ISO that is there is broken and won’t even boot.

I assume because this is alpha release you will not have it installed for some serious work, but just to test little bit and play with it.

In this case why not download it from project’s web site, that will probably work the best in this stage of development. If you don’t have spare PC, maybe install it under virtual machine e.g. Boxes.

NOTE: From project site: As the third alpha version of COSMIC Epoch 1, it is incomplete. You’ll most certainly find bugs.

By the way, I downloaded Cosmic Alpha 3 ISO from Pop!OS site and tried to install it under latest VirtualBox, but sadly on my computer it does now even boot for the first time so I can start installing.

Maybe this is my PC specific or some VirtualBox specific problem.

That is exactly the screen I was seeing. Thought it was an Nvidia thing.

It works in Gnome Boxes flatpak.
