I can only mount it via CLI into an existing directory. Is there a way to automount an external CD/DVD drive? Am I missing something?
I’d like to avoid using fstab for that matter, or even Disk. On xfce there’s a thunar extension that’s supposed to do the trick easily for a non-technical user, see xfce:thunar:4.16:using-removable-media [Xfce Docs]. Not sure this would worke here or in Gnome generally. Still, something like this would be useful for the using removable drives (DVD drives) occasionally.
