I recently decided to go all Bazzite, and remove windows 11 from my pc completely. So in the boot loader of my Bios’ windows isn’t showing in there anymore but its still showing in the boot loader on startup. Any help?
That is because a boot record for Windows is still set in NVRAM. And possibly bootloader files are still present in EFI partition - that depends on how “completely” you removed Windows from disk.
- Enter BIOS and check Boot tab/page/whatever, there usually is some way to list boot order and delete some options. If not, you’ll need to mess with
efibootmgr
in terminal - what does it outputs? - In terminal, switch to root via
sudo -i
and look into/boot/efi/EFI
. You should have BOOT and fedora folders, no microsoft files.
I got it resolved, kinda. i went and did the commands, found the boot loader (that i though was just for windows) and nuked that parition and rebooted, and well… i accidently nuked both boot loaders (whoops!) So i just re-installed Bazzite from scratch

Uhhh. Yeah. We all did that mistake, didn’t we.
