Hi Bluefin community,
First of all, thanks to all the developers and contributors to Bluefin!
I’m a relative newcomer to the world of Bluefin (and Linux distros in general). I’m keen to install the Bluefin GDX Beta on an external SSD and try it out on my home machine for a few weeks.
The only thing is that no matter how I hash the bluefin-gdx-lts ISO — whether in Powershell, command prompt, or even on another machine (also tried downloading it on another machine) — it doesn’t match the checksum provided on the GDX docs & download page. I’m using SHA256 as the algorithm and don’t know why this is happening. I’m fairly confident I must be missing something here as the likelihood of a compromised download is very low. I’m also relatively new to file hashes, but I have have used Powershell to confirm hashes match in the past for other ISOs.
If anyone has any guidance for a beginner (or if there’s a chance the ISO or checksum on that page is out of date) it would be much appreciated! ![]()
Hoping to install Bluefin soon! ![]()
Update:
The SHA256 hash for the bluefin-gdx-lts iso I downloaded is 1082ee147668716d30d4b7745f9cb8011226a40cca5f9d8299290fb7abd64f60.
The checksum hosted on the download page is c6469779cc90426e6f6164ba57079387708d5448b59c052ae0fe499d44ecf602.
I also can’t find a checksum for the bluefin-nvidia-open-stable iso hosted on the homepage, is there one available? Maybe that one will match ![]()
