Will still be here for the foreseeable future. It’s not that big anyway.

This was a great update article. I am very excited to see where this all goes in the future. Bootc is very cool and I am looking forward to when I finally understand all the peices for me to build my own images based on what is already done, just to customize to my liking.

Has anyone been able to download the update? Updater says everything is up to date but even after running sudo rpm-ostree reset and rebooting, the updater still starts with: Note: This system is image (rpm-ostree) based. Is there another step to enabling bootc or do I need to wait for this update?

@antheas if I remember correctly, ujust update did not require sudo when running rpm-ostree update. Also, sudo now has password feedback. Why the change? I’m just interested in background, not that I have a problem with it.

Thanks to the whole team for all your work! Thanks especially for outlining the state of bootc with its advantages as well as current limitations so clearly, I’m looking forward to seeing it fully implemented in the future whenever it’s deemed ready.
