Bazaar wrong behaviour with installed flatpaks

  1. Two days before I updated to the latest version of Bazzite and saw that Discover was gone. If I hadn’t known from this forum the store will be replaced, I would have been shocked. It would be better to see some information about it just after reboot into the system.

  2. I have Haruna already installed, but on the Haruna’s page in Bazaar I see an “Install” and “Delete” buttons.

When I clicked “Install” the installation process begins and after that there are no Install button here. But now I have two installed Harunas in “Installed” list:

But inside Applications Launcher I have only one option to launch:

How to understand this? Is there two options to install? Why I can’t select this options before clicking “Install”? On Fedora in default Applications Store I have a dropdown list which gives an ability to select an installation repository.
Or maybe it’s a bug after transfer from Discover to Bazaar?

One is probably user level install and the other one is system level. I’m not familliar with Bazzar but there should be some info about that in it.

Some of installed packages really duplicates for system and user. What does this mean? Why not just use system packages?

Previously, Bazzite defaulted to installing Flatpaks as “System” flatpaks. Bazaar is defaulting to installing them as “User” flatpaks.

So if you have a Flatpak installed from a previous install, you’ll now have the option to install it again through the UI. Maybe they’ll give us the option to choose in the future? Who knows.

Honestly, they make changes like this all the time and it’s the most frustrating thing about this project.

If you have multiple flatpak remores rthen it will work just like that.

I have only the system repo for flathub and it shows all my flatpaks as installed. This is on Aurora though.
