Battle.net - blank login window

Hi all,

I am trying to install battle.net via Lutris and am hitting trouble with the bnet login window. It doesn’t seem to render the window properly showing mostly blank (see below). If I move my mouse back and forth over the window I can sometimes see elements (email field, login button etc) very briefly before disappearing again.

Also tried Faugus same problem.

Any ideas?

TIA

Use bottles built-in installer with proton-ge 10.4

Same result sorry :frowning:

Oh my. Maybe blizzard pushed some client update

I had my fair share problems with battle.net. sometimes you can navigate this login screen with tab + enter so I would try that

Google says to use launch arguments --in-process-gpu .

Still no dice

Hi I used Faugus, you install it, click add (bottom left) , then where it says “Windows game” click the text and there is an option for battle net, it will install it automatically (and for me at least ) it ran fine, played WoW excellently

I was having issues the other day with proton 10.0 and GE 10.26 (I think). I switched to proton experimental and that fixed it for me through Lutris. Presuming it was working previously and now its acting up, I would try some different proton versions

Already tried Faugus as you described

No luck. proton experimental just resulted in the login window hanging

I assume you tried disabling the Wayland backend for Wine? It’s the last thing I can think of.

--in-process-gpu does not go into Launch Arguments but into Game Arguments.

Is this the first install? are you not suppose to close the login first time it pops up. Did you do that? For me I use Heroic to lunch battle.net and all other game launchers since it works better in my experience.

ok so install using lutris you wanna run it useing proton ge its how i got it to work. you use proton plus to get proton ge latest for lutris.

I had same blank screen and by advice from Hearthstone + HDT steps in wine I solved it by installing allfrontsin the Bottles dependencies but I am pretty sure you can winetricks corefonts as well (just don’t forget to do in right wine prefix).
