I switch back and forth my usb c dock from my work machine to my personal laptop as needed.
I recall getting a new Dell Docking Hub firmware update via my windows work machine, and since then, noticed random crashes of my personal machine - really odd for something that has been super stable.
I’m dropping the crash logs here, but its a huge wall of text, and I can’t make sense of what is going on.
I passed it through an LLM and confirmed my theory its related to my 3 monitors and my docking station and mishandling of it at kernel level , but I can’t put too much faith on that since it was an LLM.
Here are the latest crash logs, bc it just happened again.
P.s. When I use the laptop solo, no docking hub, it seems to work fine, no random crashes….so I know its related to the dock, but not sure to what extent - the dock itself, or trying to push 3 monitors? Idk.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
In the meantime, I disabled the 3rd monitor to see if that helps…so far so good.
