All of a sudden I can no longer move stuff to my truenas smb shares

Been running bazzite since the win 10 shutdown. I’m currently learning all the quirks of the OS. Duckstation loosing paths and what not XD.

But something I’m having an issue with that i cannot find a solve for, aside from doing some funky stuff with systemd, is my turenas smb shares just wont let me copy stuff to them anymore. The work perfectly well on windows 11 and android. And, up until the day before yesterday this OS worked fine.

I can pull stuff off no problem, but as soon as i try to put something on it; it tells me access denied could not write to smb…

Did something change after a week of use, or did i mess something up. I didnt change any settings before the smb stopped working.

I have done some googling and saw someone has the same issue on a different linux distro, I don’t remember the name, but no one has helped that guy out yet. And, as I said earlier someone in this forum has a guide on mounting an smb using systemd, but half way through the guide I get lost on where to put some files and how to do some of the file creation.

Figured here would be the best place to post my problem since its bazzite, and with me being new to this flavor of linux, ive messed with ubuntu and rasbian, I might need some guidance on this issue.

Had the same issue last night in Aurora, it’s a KDE Frameworks regression that’s been patched.

oh ok cool. so the 14th we will get an update that fixes it. or wait…they said there is already a patch pushed. dumb question then. is there a way to get the update. like sudo apt update and what not or just use the system update app thing? it doesnt seem to pull that .1 patch. Am I just being thick, or am I right in guessing I have to wait for bazzite to push the update.

The fix is still in testing in Fedora: Making sure you're not a bot!

It should make it into uBlue images shortly after Fedora pushes it to stable.

awesome thats about what i figured. I need to bookmark these links so i can know where to look for updates.
