After update from Bazzite 43.20251118 to 43.20251126 or 27 all games started with Proton suddenly stopped working. They are crashed on startup or start forever.
Rollback to 20251118 effectively fixed the issue.
Looks like there is some regression in latest mesa packages.
Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9700X, Radeon 9070XT.
Do you use Gamescope for your games? If so, did you try running those games with Gamescope disabled?
I do not use gamescope, just dedicated steam game mode (bazzite deck os variant). But in the desktop mode behavior is the same - games don’t run or stuck on start .

I guess so.
AFAIK patched Mesa driver is already available in Fedora so it’s the matter of a new Bazzite update once it’s available.
I guess gamescope is separate util, but Steam Game mode in deck os version might be similar. Nevertheless running in desktop mode shows the same issues.
That is Gamescope mode bud, its not a separate utility, Bazzite-Deck Game Mode = Gamescope.
