40+ years of Unix/Linux experience. Started out on UNIX SVR1 at AT&T Bell Labs in The States and jumped on SLS as my first Linux distribution and have been trying to avoid Windows whenever I can. I have a strong background in C/C++ and spent 20 years as a Senior Java Developer in Australia as an Independent Contractor to government agencies. Gave up development and started building developer tools/environments for the last 5 years as a DevSecOps/Kubernetes Platform Engineer. I only run Linux at home and run my own HomeLab.
