# Screen Brightness Not Working After Installing Bazzite OS

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well today. I’m encountering a problem where my screen brightness won’t change no matter how much I try to change it in KDE Plasma or using the brightness keys on my laptop. I suspect this is an issue with either KDE itself or the installation. I’m not quite sure what to do as this is my first foray into using a gaming distro such as this one, it has been a great experience so far, with the dimmed screen being the exception.

My laptop is an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 2023 (GU603VI-17.-4070). I appreciate any assistance that is able to happen in terms of this issue. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great rest of your day.

i have to same problem with the same laptop. running `rpm-ostree kargs --append='acpi_backlight=native' `which some users suggested didn’t work for me
