I have many problems with this driver, fist managed to install drivers from terminar, and work first time but some day after don’t work, and in HPLIP Graphycal tool, said “need install plugin”, i tried install again but now can’t install only said “error to install”
It is probably failing because it wasn’t built to support immutable distros.
Looking online looks like foo2hp has support for cp1215: foo2hp — Printer driver | OpenPrinting
Try layering it
sudo rpm-ostree install foo2hp
And then reboot
