Live ISO testing for Bluefin (round 2)

Can’t speak for everyone but atleast it looks like even Fedora is moving away from the old Anaconda installer. There is a Change request for Fedora 43 to move to the WebUI installer.

Kind of makes sense, as the old installer is well old and really pain in the butt to upkeep (atleast that is what i have heard / read). For Aurora we are waiting for the new version of the WebUI to get the keyboard change issue fixed, and will propably move defaulting to the WebUI installer after that at some point. Propably going to keep old installer ISO for backup but we propably won’t be building updated ones for it. But its still too early to say.

The custom partitioning is still possible with the new webui.

On the partition screen you instead press the 3 dots in the top right and that opens up cockpits disk manager to partition your disk.

It does not import defaults like the older GTK application.

There is likely a flag to use the GTK application instead, but I did not investigate that.

Yes, the driver situation on the live-iso are interesting.

Since they are using our actual images, they have out of tree drivers. Those will not load if the secureboot key is not loaded. Nvidia is one of these.

Part of install is enrolling the secureboot key.
