# Help us help you template?

Would it be possible to have a template that would be inserted when **Create Topic** is clicked, that would suggest things for people to tell us when they are asking questions?

E.g.

**🧠 How to Ask a Good Question**  
Post in the appropriate Aurora, Bluefin, Bazzite, etc. categories.  
Be clear, be specific, and include:

- Relevant version numbers
- Relevant hardware
- What you did
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- What you have tried
- Any relevant logs or errors

**Be specific:**  
Avoid saying “it doesn’t work” — explain _what_ doesn’t work and _how_ it fails. Include exact error messages, terminal output, or screenshots. If something is intermittent, describe when or how often it occurs.

The more detail you give, the easier it is to help.

Pretty sure we can’t use templates on the discourse plan we have, though ideally we’d want reports that need all that stuff to be in github anyway. Open to ideas though.
