I was wondering if you can install Plasma in the Gnome based install of bazzite. I’d like to try this to side-step the issues Bazzite KDE has when running Core Keyboard ---

No, you can only use one desktop environment at a time. To use KDE you would need to reinstall. ---

It is also possible to rebase from Bazzite GNOME to Bazzite KDE, although it’s generally better to reinstall as both of those DEs can fight with each other’s configs. Budgie and COSMIC are also planned to be options in Bazzite too in the near future from what I heard. ---

Its possible but rebasing between KDE and Gnome will mess up your DE configs as both use the some of the same configs for gtk/qt. ---

Is it possible to just make a `ujust` command that helps clean up the configs so that people can rebase from one DE/image to another? I think rebase is the coolest thing and the biggest plus of Fedora Atomic as a whole, and it is a shame that people can’t use it on Bazzite. ---

Any replies to this from the team? It would be really cool to be able to switch desktops cleanly, even if we have to make a backup for the DE config (if possible) to be able to return if we feel like it ---

What reply are you looking for? I suppose if you want two desktops you’d just make a custom image with both on it? ---

I should note that if you do that we can’t support you. We are very explicit about never rebasing to switch desktop environments. I’m afraid any issue you open while using that image is just going to be ignored. ---

I wondering why users want to install two desktop environments and for sure are going to have some nasty issues that nobody will like to solve. Why not just install one desktop environment as primary desktop and another secondary desktop environment as virtual machine. ---

I believe you could switch from Plasma to Gnome and viceversa by rebasing and creating a new user with a fresh home folder. Having both together is gonna be a huge mess. ---

A u just command to reset gui confings would be nice as reinstalling will nuke your home folder. Then you can rebase, reset them for whatever default the DE is, and get back to gaming. Are there differences in flatpaks too? I vaguely remember there being an option to reload these ---
