Apparently there’s an issue with discrete AMD GPUs where Bazzite 44 boots to a blank screen.
ouvert 12:56PM - 21 Aug 26 UTC
### Describe the bug
When booting, the BIOS displays correctly, then I see the … spinner, then the screen goes blank (the projector says "no HDMI input").
I can ctrl-alt-f3 to a working console which is displayed correctly. But when going back to graphical it's blank again.
### What did you expect to happen?
I expected the Gaming Mode to display after the spinner, like it did for Bazzite 43.

Yup, I have a black screen several times a day now (Radeon RX 9070 XT).
Especially when I go away from my PC, and come back 15 / 30 minutes later.
Power Management is off.
This issue really need some attention and must be addressed as lot of users have trouble with their GPU. I was hoping for a fix in this update, but it’s now even worse.
There is a workaround for this- enable developer mode in Steam game mode and then in developer settings enable Force Composite. Assuming you’re talking about Bazzite-deck stable.
Found another significant regression in Deck 44: I can’t change my charge limit now.
I keep it at 80% while at home, and then disable the charge limit to hit 100% when I’m flying.
Now there’s no option to do that.
Honestly, removing HHD has made Bazzite Deck 44 substantially less functional than 43.

Not easy without a screen …
Well I’m afraid to say my experience with Deck 44 on my Legion Go S Z1E has been increasingly negative.
Not only has the removal of HHD taken away my ability to rapidly change TDP, and I can’t find a way at all to change my charging limit, but now I’m having consistent game crashes every 30-60 minutes.
Gonna have to roll back to 43.

Nope. Not even on a deck image. On a full desktop bazzite-gnome-nvidia-open like I said in the comment.

I have now the dev screen, but not the option you’ve mentioned.
Oh wait: this is a X11 option, not available when using Wayland.
