Bazzite "Spring Cleaning in December" Update

Are the choices to implement IWD and Bees Bazzite-only or part of a universal (blue) approach? Can we expect them in Kinoite and Bluefin?

Bazzite only at the moment atleast.

Once again Dolphin lost its session - except the tabs are all still open, they now just point all towards /home… Are there alternative session managers for it or something that are more reliable? Really annoying when this happens every few months & updates.

I guess this is now Bzzzite!

Where is scopebuddy? I am unable to find the rpm. I am on bazzite:stable and I am not sure if it only applies for certain variants or not.

Installed in all versions of Bazzite, see our documentation.

I am unable to find the scopebuddy application listed when I search for it in the KDE application launcher

Please see our documentation

scopebuddy is a command line tool that improves gamescope.

Read our documentation about it, hence why the mention links to our documentation.

There is a gui for it in Bazaar, however you can do way more by manually editing the config files if you know bash.

I picked up a UGREEN DP/HDMI adapter with the hope of getting VRR working. I think the change the release notes are referring to is this commit?

If so that appears to be included in 6.17.7-ba23 where as the release image includes 6.17.7-ba22?

Nevermind, I did manage to get VRR working with this dongle so appears the patch must be included regardless. I needed to add a custom edid for my TV (Samsung s90f) but once I did I was able to get 4k/120 with HDR and VRR.

If I am not missing something, there has been no new image for an unusual amount of time. Not nagging just curious what the hookup is?

Aaaand a new image has been released  - still curious if one knowledgable wanted to answer what the technical hookup was - just curious :-).

I know I am late for this but I literarly thought scopebuddy was just the gui (now I know scopebuddy is a wrapper for gamescope and there is a separate gui for scopebuddy)
