Apologies for the stupid question, but I’ve never really used GitHub - should we create a new issue or add to an existing one? I see this one created by @antheas, should we update it with any issues we come across? One issue per feature/bug is how you want to do it (so that it can scale out). I always search for duplicates but if you accidentally make one don’t sweat it, I’ll fix that up. Ignore long tracking issues like this, these are more notes of a long discussion we’ve had. If you see something you like leave an emoji, avoid “+1 I need this too!” since that just sends an email to everyone with no info. Screenshots are always good, and keep it tighly scoped if you can instead of dreaming big, that can come later. 😃 ---

Not sure if I can write about Bazzite here, but I didn’t see another topic about Bazaar in Bazzite section. 1. Today I updated to the latest version of Bazzite and saw that Discover was gone. If I hadn’t known that the store was being replaced, I would have been shocked. 2. I don’t understand whether Bazaar has picked up on managing already installed packages or not. I have Heroic installed, but on the Heroic page in Bazaar I see an “Install” button. 3. I decided to test Bazaar behaviour and installed Haruna (which I already had installed). Now I see two Harunas in the “installed” list. But only one is displayed in the applications menu. Ok. I uninstalled both Harunas and then went to its page and clicked “Install” → after successful installation I still see the “Install” button. I click “Install” again and the installation happens again. Now I have two Harunas in my “installed” list again. I don’t understand this. ---

Bazaar will pick up any installed application in discover,so if bazaar doesn’t see that an app is installed,maybe is because the app is layered / installed system-wide and not via flatpak. Post the output of this 2 commands ```auto rpm-ostree status ``` ```auto flatpak list ``` ---

We package it here: [packages/staging/bazaar at main · ublue-os/packages · GitHub](https://github.com/ublue-os/packages/tree/main/staging/bazaar) And then in each image that team removes gnome-software and adds bazaar. There’s a bot that checks bazaar’s repository for commits and then opens a pull request, that looks [like this](https://github.com/ublue-os/packages/pull/698). This is how we update Bazaar, the bot just checks if there’s something new every 30 minutes. Then one of us clicks through, checks it out, and then approves. Then the PR gets merged and that triggers the builders to build the RPMs, then it publishes it to the ublue COPR. Then whenever the images build next they’ll automatically pull in the updated RPM. ---

Does the current version of Bazaar in Bluefin Stable have the ability to install flatpak addons? Yeah but you need to be on a daily image or wait until sunday morning for the usual weekly builds. There’s good stuff landing every day so it’s tough to keep track right now. (I am having a hard time keeping up myself!) Just a quick question: will the actual app name stay Bazaar? Because some users might have it manually added to a Panel or Menu (Arc Menu). That button/item will stop working if the app name changes. ---
