# \[ 0.273492\] Initramfs unpacking failed: invalid magic at start of compressed archive

Something went wrong trying to boot 41.20250105 at aurora:stable:

`[0.273492] Initramfs unpacking failed: invalid magic at start of compressed archive.`

Went back and booted from previous image: 41.20241229.

How can I fix this? Perhaps delete the failed boot entry and repeat the whole update process.

Can you paste the output of `rpm-ostree status`? Do you happen to have a local override for Initramfs there?

You have few packages layered but no initramfs overrides. those packages shouldn’t cause boot to fail.

You could try running `ujust update` I think we made a new stable image today for another issue.

It worked. Probably something went wrong with my previous update. Thanks.
